HideToday's lesson is another very practical one, particularly when receiving directions. "Can You Say It Again?" can be the difference between getting to your destination and wandering around for hours in a hot souk! Have you ever been lost in an Arabic speaking environment?

Is ู ุงุฐุง ููุชุ Moroccan Arabic or standard? If not, how do I find these phrases in standard Arabic?
Hi Megan,
Yes, Arabic letters' "names" sound different from the way they're pronounced in words. You can skip this part if it confuses you.
It's "b shwayya" , so it's a "b" not a "d". This "b" before the word in Arabic means "with" or "by". Check the lesson materials for more info.
Hope this helped!

I find the slow enunciation of each syllable very helpful, but not the individual letters, as the individual letter names are not actually said as they are used in the word itself. However, I usually jump the letters and proceed to the next bit, so no problem. However, I can't get whether it's 'd' or 'b' shweehuh.
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. For the Survival Phrases series, we don't have a separate track for the sentences of the dialog, but you can listen to them one by one using the Line-By-Line Audio Transcript tool.
I hope it helps! Let us know if you have any other questions or comments!
Regards,
Paloma
