VOCAB AND PHRASE USAGE
Roland: Let's have a closer look at the usage for some of the words and phrases from this lesson. firstly let’s have a look at...
Hala: لو سـَمـَحـْت ، عـَـنـْـدَك فـاكـْـهة طـازة ؟
Roland: This is a very polite way to ask for anything, لو سـَمـَحـْت means literally, If you please. You can use the word طازة which means fresh for all of your grocery shopping , asking for fruit and so on. next we have...
Hala: أيـْوة ، طـَـبـْعاً
Roland: Which is slightly more emphatic way of confirming something, just means, yes, of course, but it is extremely popular way while talking, أيوة or طبعاً you can use either or both , of course for a stronger meaning go for both .
Hala: أيـْوة ، طـَـبـْعاً
Roland: أيـْوة ، طـَـبـْعاً
And the next word is...
Hala: ياااااه
Roland: which is just like, WOOOOW in English, Its is very informal, keep that on mind, and use it freely, its very common wherever you are.

Lesson focus

Hala: The focus of this lesson is adjectives.
Roland: So if Hala wants to say..
Hala: عـَـنـْـدَك فـاكـْـهة طـازة ؟
Roland: Which means "Do you have fresh fruit ?"
Hala: Here wee use the Adjectives after the noun, this is very important to remember guys. Adjectives come after the noun.
Roland : Adjectives follow the noun gender and case, masculine, feminine, plural. For example we have غالي , which means expensive, and that is in masculine form.
Hala: To make it into the feminine form, we will add the feminine ة "ta" at the end, which will give ah sound at the end, so it will be غالية , The masculine form is غالي feminine غالية ,, to make the form plural, we add īn in the end, so that’s will be غاليين .
غالي and غالية and غاليين , remember guys this is the general rule for adjective and its really easy..
Roland: And now if we take a look at how to say "very much" or "a lot".
Hala: "very" or "a lot", is added after the adjective
so that makes it the third word after the noun
Roland: for example, if i want to say التفاح غالي قوي , Which means “the apples are very expensive”.
Hala: This means that the formation of the Arabic sentence it will be "the apples are expensive very".
