POST CONVERSATION BANTER
Hala: When someone asks you a question, you are expected to give a very fulfilling answer
Roland: Yes, if your answer is to short ( to the person hearing it ), then you will be asked another question, and another, until it's all clear, same thing will happen to you if you ask a question to anyone, the answer might be too long and detailed for you, with some extra information, that you didn’t ask for
Hala: but its Ok, we love to pass the knowledge!

VOCAB AND PHRASE USAGE
Roland: Let's have a closer look at the usage for some of the words and phrases from this lesson.
Roland: The first word we’ll look at is....”آآه, Aahh”
Hala: A very informal word, but surprisingly , it can be used also in formal situations, as it means ( Ohh ), its more of a reaction, mostly heard between friends, but if you are talking to someone at work and they are explaining something to you, and you got what they were saying, you say ” Aahh” as I got what you said. but again it mostly used between friends.
Roland: and the second word we are going to look at is….
Hala: دقيقة
this word means ( a minute ), but its also used ( just a minute, or just a second ) please, you can use it to call someone, just by saying ( a minute please ), we use it also to call people. Even if you don’t the name, you can say “One minute please”, and that get their attention and stop.
Lesson focus
|
Hala: The focus of this lesson is (Possessives , our ) يـِمـْكـِن في فـَصْـلـُهُم "maybe in their class"
Roland: to say ( our ), we will add ( na ) at the end of the noun, so by using ( faṣl ) as an example, it will be ( faṣlna )
Hala: a small tip to make your pronunciation easier, add small ( i ) sound before the ( na), so it should be ( faṣlina ), thats what you will hear most people say, and it will be easier for you to say.
Roland: and the second grammar point is how to form the possessive third person plural which is “their”
Hala: To say ( their ), we will add ( hum ) at the end of the noun, if we used ( فصل, faṣl ), it will be ( فصلهم, faṣlhum ), if you like to apply the small tip we kept using, by adding the ( u ) sound before ( hum ), that might make it easier for you, so it will be ( فَصْلُهُم,faṣluhum ). It is only to make smoother and easier to say.
Roland: Please remember, we are still dealing with masculine nouns, not feminine .
Outro
|
Roland: That just about does it for today.
Roland: Before we go, we want to tell you about a way to drastically improve your pronunciation.
Hala: The voice recording tool...
Roland: Yes, the voice recording tool in the premium learning center...
Hala: Record your voice with a click of a button,
Roland: and then play it back just as easily.
Hala: So you record your voice, and then listen to it.
Roland: Compare it to the native speakers...
Hala: And adjust your pronunciation!
Roland: This will help you improve your pronunciation fast!
Hala: شكراً رولاند, مع السلامة
Roland: مع السلامة، أشوفكو بعدين
