Okay, now it's your turn.
Do you remember how to say "I'm sorry for [reason]."?
أنا آسف إني [reason].

Imagine you want to apologize because you told a lie to someone. Do you remember how to say "lying to you?"
كدبت عليك, كدبت عليك
(kedebt ʿaleīki, kedebt ʿaleīki)
Say “I'm sorry for lying to you.”
أنا آسف إني كدبت عليك.
(ʾanā ʾāsef ʾennī kedebt ʿaleīki.)
Now say you're sorry for lying, and respond to it.
أنا آسف إني كدبت عليك.
(ʾanā ʾāsef ʾennī kedebt ʿaleīki.)
ولا يهمك.
(walā yehemmak.)
Now imagine you want to apologize because you hurt someone's feelings. Do you remember how to say "hurting your feelings?"
جرحت مشاعرك, جرحت مشاعرك
(garaḥt mašāʿrek, garaḥt mašāʿrek)
Say “I'm sorry for hurting your feelings.”
أنا آسف إني جرحت مشاعرك.
(ʾanā ʾāsef ʾennī garaḥt mašāʿrek.)
Now say you're sorry for hurting someone's feelings, and respond to it.
أنا آسف إني جرحت مشاعرك.
(ʾanā ʾāsef ʾennī garaḥt mašāʿrek.)
ولا يهمك.
(walā yehemmak.)
Now imagine you want to apologize because you canceled. Do you remember how to say "canceling?"
لغيت, لغيت
(laġeīt, laġeīt)
Say “I'm sorry for canceling.”
أنا آسف إني لغيت.
(ʾanā ʾāsef ʾennī laġeīt.)
Now say you're sorry for canceling, and respond to it.
أنا آسف إني لغيت.
(ʾanā ʾāsef ʾennī laġeīt.)
ولا يهمك.
(walā yehemmak.)
