Becky: Welcome to 3-Minute Moroccan Arabic Season 1, Lesson 13 - Who Is It? In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask who someone is in Moroccan Arabic.

Becky: Here's the way to ask 'Who is it?' in Moroccan Arabic.
Khalil: [Normal] شكون؟(shkûn )
Becky: This expression has only one word meaning 'who'
Khalil: [Normal] شكون [Slow] شكون (shkûn )
Becky: Listen again to the question meaning 'Who is it?'
Khalil: [Slow] شكون؟ [Normal] شكون؟
Becky: Now, imagine you're speaking to a stranger. Here's the way to ask, 'Who is that?'
Khalil: [Normal] شكون هدا؟(shkûn hadâ?)
Becky: First is a word meaning 'who'
Khalil: [Normal] شكون [Slow] شكون (shkûn )
Becky: Last is the word meaning 'that'
Khalil: [Normal] هدا [Slow] هدا(hadâ)
Becky: Listen again to the question meaning 'Who is that?'
Khalil: [Slow] شكون هدا؟ [Normal] شكون هدا؟
Becky: Here's a response meaning 'It's me.'
Khalil: [Normal] هدا انا(hadâ ’anâ)
Becky: First is a word meaning 'that'
