listening comprehension

Postby h2o.emis_45822 » December 4th, 2016 10:08 pm

Hey!
I'm not an absolute beginner, but I'm close to that. I have been studying arabic in university for 4 months now and I find difficulty sometimes to distinguish between some of the letters when I hear them (for example- sin and sod, not only those, there are some others as well but actually these are the main problem for me). Do you have any idea, or any suggestion that could help me with listening comprehension?
Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,

Letters like siin and saad are challenging to distinguish indeed.
a lot of listening practice should though. And I mean A LOT. Like, everyday listening practice. Use the media you like most so that you can also have fun in the process. What dialect are you learning? or are you just studying Standard Arabic?
