Alisha: This is Must-Know Egyptian Arabic Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 21. In this lesson you'll learn expressions to express ambiguity.

SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Sherif: بتاع (btāʿ)
Sherif: التيتة (el-tītah)
Sherif: الروشتة (el-rūšettah)
Sherif: الشاي (el-šāī)
Alisha: Sherif, what's our first expression?
Sherif: بتاع (btāʿ)
Alisha: literally meaning "object." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "thing."
Sherif: [SLOW] بتاع [NORMAL] بتاع
Alisha: Listeners, please repeat.

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you want to refer to an object without saying its name.
