Alisha: Useful Verbs that Could Happen to You

Alisha: This is Must-Know Egyptian Arabic Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 17. In this lesson, you’ll learn useful verbs to describe things that could happen to you.
Alisha: It's been a long day. You need to know these expressions because they may happen to you too after a long rough day.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Sherif: يجيب آخره (yegīb ʾāḫroh)
Sherif: يخلع (yeḫlaʿ)
Sherif: يهنج (yehanneg)
Sherif: يتنح (yetannaḥ)
Alisha: Sherif, what's our first expression?
Sherif: يجيب آخره (yegīb ʾāḫroh)
Alisha: literally meaning "to bring his end." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to come to one's wit’s end."
Sherif: [SLOW] يجيب آخره [NORMAL] يجيب آخره

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you want to say that someone has gone through a hard time and they can't take it anymore.

Alisha: literally meaning "to remove." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to bail."

Alisha: literally meaning "to hang." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to be unable to think straight."
