Cultural Insight
Becky: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Khalil: You can use these sentences to introduce yourself and where you come from easily. Just replace the word Moroccan with the one for another nationality. For example American is mirikânî/مِرِكَانِي , Chinese is chinwî/شِنْوِي, Italian is Talyânî/طَلْيَانِي. These were in the masculine form, to make them feminine, you just change the last part by adding the 'a' vowel at the end. So the feminine form of the previous words becomes mirikâniyya/ َّمِرِكَانِية , Chinese is chinwiyya/شِنْوِيَّة, Italian is Talyâniyya/طَلْيَانِيَّة.

Becky: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
