<itunes:summary>Learn Arabic with ArabicPod101.com! Staring out the window at work today in Cairo, you noticed some rain clouds rolling in. One of your coworkers heard a reporter on the radio say that there is a high probability Cairo will see torrential downpours too. Back home you have seen the very worst of thunderstorms, so you really weren't too worried…that is, until you got off work! As you walk out the door of your office in Egypt, you are astonished to see that those little rainclouds have now turned into huge back clouds shadowing the city! You decide you just need to get home quickly. However, as you are driving home the rain starts coming down so hard you can't see the road in front of you! You pull over and flip on the radio, hoping you can make out enough Arabic to pick up what they are saying on the weather reports. Unfortunately, the reporters and meteorologists are all talking so rapidly and excitedly that you can't make out anything they are saying in Arabic. Too bad too…because one man just reported in Arabic, "The hurricane is blowing in from the sea!!!" Sitting on the side of the highway in your car in Egypt is probably not the safest place to be, but then, you don't know what's coming anyway… Learning Arabic with ArabicPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Arabic! This Arabic Video Vocabulary lesson will teach you how to talk about natural disasters in Arabic. In this Arabic vocabulary video, you will learn Arabic by watching the video, seeing both English and Arabic translations describing the video, and all while listening to the Arabic translations being read aloud by our native Arabic speakers. Visit us at ArabicPod101.com where you will find many more great Arabic lessons and learning materials! <itunes:summary>Learn Arabic with ArabicPod101.com! Your friend that lives in Egypt has asked you to stay the summer with him and his family, and of course, you couldn't turn that down! You even took Arabic classes so you would fit in. Your friend has assured you that you would fit into his family just fine, whether or not you spoke Arabic, but you decided to learn anyway. And boy, are you glad you did! When your friend's dad gets home from work each day, excitement takes over and it's a barrage of Arabic thrown out and everyone is talking over one another. You have never seen such a happy family before. The excitement doesn't die out either, because after your friend's father gets through the family mob, they all retreat to the living room for Arabic family time. <itunes:summary>Learn Arabic with ArabicPod101.com! You are in Egypt doing some business with your company's main headquarters and you have attended meetings all afternoon. You are supervising how the staff is performing their job at the Egypt company, and although you are satisfied with how the Egypt company is being handled, you still have to figure out what can be improved within the company. You have spoken with many of the company's staff and most of the staff seems very pleased with the way they are treated. You asked each one what their jobs entailed. A secretary you spoke with replied in Arabic, "Typing and reading e-mails, making phone calls, answering customers' question…you know, the usual stuff." The next person you spoke with answered in Arabic, "I attend meetings all day!" But they all seem happy…and the work is getting done. Wait…who is that? You ask a man sitting at a desk drinking coffee what he does all day. He replies in Arabic, "I drink my coffee." Astonished, you ask him why he doesn't do anything else. He replies in Arabic, "Because I am the boss!" Well, at least you were able to work with your Arabic skills for a little bit anyway. <itunes:summary>Learn Arabic with ArabicPod101.com! Your family has moved to the beautiful country of Egypt and have just started getting a daily routine down. Everyone seems to be doing their own thing. The only quality family time you have is around the breakfast table. You have all agreed to speak Arabic during this time to ease your way into the Egyptian society. Every morning, you say, "Good morning," in Arabic, and everyone replies in Arabic. You then speak about your plans for the day and what time you will return home to grab a bite to eat, finish some last-minute errands, and go to sleep, before starting the cycle all over again. But as you sit down at the table this morning, it seems you and your father are the only ones who have made it. You ask in Arabic, "Where's mom?" He answers in Arabic, "She is brushing her teeth and washing her face." You are starving and really wish everyone would hurry up. You ask your father in Arabic, "Where is my little brother this morning?" In an annoyed tone, he answers in Arabic, "He is still in his bed waking up." Nice. You stare at your father for just a moment, trying to convey how hungry you are in your stare. Finally, he tells you in Arabic, "Oh go ahead! Eat breakfast!" Looks like you have broken this daily routine! Learning Arabic with ArabicPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Arabic! This Arabic Video Vocabulary lesson will teach you important vocabulary regarding normal daily routines in Egypt. In this Arabic vocabulary video, you will learn Arabic by watching the video, seeing both English and Arabic translations describing the video, and all while listening to the Arabic translations being read aloud by our native Arabic speakers. <itunes:summary>Learn Arabic with ArabicPod101.com! Your friends want to take you out in Cairo one last time before you have to go to work. This time, you are not going unprepared. In fact, last time your friends wanted to spend the day with you in Egypt, it took you three days to sleep off the exhaustion from acting out different sports in Arabic! Well, not this time. No sir! This time, you have learned how to say every sport you can think of in Arabic BEFORE you go out!! Right away, you ask your friends in Arabic, "Do you want to go watch some baseball? Or maybe you would rather play a little football here in the park?" As you continue down the list of sports-related words you have learned in Arabic just for them, it seems you have learned them all! Your friends are impressed! But they had something a little…different planned for today. They ask in Arabic, "We have some tickets and thought you might want to go to the car races with us." You look at them confused, it seems they found one you don't know. Well, at least this time they have to act it out and not you! Learning Arabic with ArabicPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Arabic! This Arabic Video Vocabulary lesson is the second part in a two-part series that will teach you how to talk about sports in Arabic. In this Arabic vocabulary video, you will learn Arabic by watching the video, seeing both English and Arabic translations describing the video, and all while listening to the Arabic translations being read aloud by our native Arabic speakers.
