I wish I had paid more attention in those foreign language classes now. I can’t help but think things might have been a little bit easier…
‘ay lugha darasta?
Which language did you study?
Ana darastu al faransiyya, wal esbaniyya, wal yabaniyya, wal farsiiya, wal kuriyya, wal arabiyya. Lakinni nasaytu kathiran!
I studied French, Spanish, Japanese, Farsi, Korean, and Arabic. But I forgot a lot!
Could you type us a list of language names in Arabic?
I have never seen the word “tujidina” before, but I can see that it comes from the same root word as “jayyid”, meaning “good”. The root word system is one of the most fascinating things about Arabic - as well as one of the most complex
That’s quite impressive Bouks! Here’s a list of some languages in Arabic:
Arabic العربية
French الفرنسية
English الإنجليزية
Spanish الإسبانية
Hebrew العبرية
Japanese اليابانية
Chinese الصينية
Korean الكورية
Russian الروسية
Bouks, “tujidina” could be تُجيدين as in أنت تجيدين العربية which mean “You speak Arabic well”, examples:
يجيد mean to do something well
انت تجيدين الطبخ You’re a good cook
انت تجيدين السباحة You can swim
I hope I’ve clearly explained my point, though!
May I know what happened to Apod101 now? Why are there only 2 lessons per week?
I believe that’s how it starts, I was there when KoreanClass101 started and it pretty much started the same way, though there were Newbie and Beginner lessons instead, but I’m sure it’ll start gaining some momentum later on!
